Queensbury Court

About
Like many buildings it age Queensbury Court had been subject to the age of cement and was, in turn, covered in cementitious render. This was now beginning to cause issues internally as the moisture that would naturally escape through the brick work and mortar was being stopped by the render thus returning inside.
Scope of Work
Williams Restoration undertook the conservation and restoration of Queensberry Court by first removing all the cementitious render from the façade. Once this was done, the façade was left to ‘breath’ for a couple of days before being replaced with a historically matched Lime based render. The Lime based render not only is more aesthetically pleasing than the cement but its breathable property’s work with the historic fabric it sits on thus elevating the damp issues.
