About

Over the years Williams Restoration have undertaken projects on three properties at Pembridge Place No’s 5-6-9. These properties were not to differential in symptoms, years of weathering, predominately solution that was evident from the black carbon staining found during surveys. The buildings also suffered from various cementitious repairs, not only on the brickwork but on the window surrounds also.

Scope of Work

Williams Restoration undertook the restoration and conservation of the frontal façade and chimney. This included undertaking a full façade clean with our specialist ThermaTech modular cleaning system. A system created with the environment in mind. Energy efficiency, water consumption and its low emissions makes it one of the leading resources for a environmentally friendly company to have. Once complete Williams Restoration proceeded to remove the harmful cementitious mortar from the façade. This was then replaced with a historically matched, Lime based mortar with a stucco finish to match the adjoining buildings. Williams then undertook the restoration of the cornice mouldings, repairing where possible and rerunning whole cornices where necessary.

The Williams Restoration team took on the whole job, from removing the cement render through to re-decoration. There's no avoiding the fact that this type of work is messy and sometimes noisy, but they tried hard to minimise nuisance to ourselves and our neighbours.
