95-97 Harley Street
Dudley Guest House

The Dudley Guest Hospital boasts a rich history and has played a prominent role in Dudley life over the years.

The original buildings on site began life in 1849 as almshouses and were built on behalf of the Earl of Dudley as accommodation for the local limestone miners who were blinded whilst working on his estate. Sadly the accommodation was not used and remained vacant for some years. In 1867, Joseph Guest, a prosperous nail worker invested a significant sum towards the creation of a hospital for Dudley. The unused almshouses were selected as the ideal site and the Earl of Dudley paid for all alterations, furniture and medical equipment.

Scope of Work

Williams Restoration undertook the cleaning of the facades at the Dudley Guest House. This was done using a ThermaTech modular cleaning system. A system created with the environment in mind. Energy efficiency, water consumption and its low emissions makes it one of the leading resources for a environmentally friendly company to have. Once complete Williams surveyed the building, identifying and completing some essential pointing repairs.
